16 Week Pics

So here are my pics from 16 weeks. Hope you like them.

How I felt mentally & physicalled in week 15:

I had (& have) a yeast infection so that really sucked!!! I went to Vegas & went home early b/c I was the most sick I've been in this pregnancy. My face (forehead) is still broken out & I don't think that it is going to go away anytime soon (boo!). Other than that I felt pretty damn good. I bought the baby it's first gift since being pregnant. I bought it a little shirt from "House of Blues" at the hotel we stayed at in Vegas. It is really cute & small! I have been more tired & cranky I've noticed lately. I also feel pretty overwhelmed by my dirty house, dirtpile backyard & shitload of work at work. I am hoping a cleaning fairy visits my house & organizes everything, I think I need to continue dreaming. Oh I did have my first weird pregnancy dreams last week. I had three dreams, but one was about a guy I worked w/ (weird).

So the car looks good, I don't think the issues are going to be that big of a deal, so I am quite relieved.

Hope all is well with you all. I heard something on the radio today about Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garnier on the rocks maybe. I really like them together, so I hope it was a rumor!

Have a great night.

Quick Update

So my trip to Vegas ended up not being exactly what I'd hoped for. I got really sick, super nauseous, and dehydrated. I think that the heat (almost 110 degrees), the traveling, the change of sleeping & eating schedules & even the altitude really affected my little pregnant self. I was pretty miserable & an emotional wreck. I luckily talked Jeremy into changing my flight & I came home Saturday. Home had never felt so good. I felt bad about leaving, but it was worth it. The other girls had a blast though. It always surprises me each time I go how generous men are there. I swear those girls didn't have to pay for more than maybe 2 drinks in the whole almost 4 days they were there. Guys are so silly, I guess they really like their eye candy.

Anyway, we got the car, and the check engine soon light has already come on. I am taking it in tomorrow to get a complete check-up & hopefully everything goes well, and I can relax. Because right now I am nervous that Jeremy & I are getting ready to learn some life lesson in buying cars, and I am really hoping that is not the case. I hope that we made a good choice & that it will all work out, we'll see I guess.

I went to the doctor today b/c I have a yeast infection, YUCK!!! Just the name even grosses me out. She prescribed me something, b/c the over the counter stuff hasn't been helping. We'll see what this does. I am ready to not be so itchy!!!

Okay, I think that is it. Hope all is well w/ you guys!!!

Vegas here I come

So I am off to Vegas tomorrow & can't wait, but trying to get so much work & life done before then has been EXTREMELY stressful today. I attached a pic of the SUV that I think will be mine by Monday. I finally convinced Jeremy of a Pathfinder, but he really liked the newer model, so I gave in to that. Right now we are just figuring out price. I really hope this works out b/c I am so ready for a new car. Nancy, I know you said that the Pathfinder sucks for leg room, I tried to get in the back seat & feel it out, but didn't have a car seat. What year do you have?

Anyway, I am excited to be out of Missouri, but know I will miss Jerm. I have been more homesick recently when I am away from home. I also tend to get really uncomfortable when I am anywhere & I know I am stuck there. For example, I don't really like clubbing w/ anyone other than Jeremy b/c I feel like I am stuck there for the night, when I am the girl that likes to leave early and get to bed. With Jerm there I know he will go home when I ask or soon after. Anyway, I think I just am more comfortable when I don't feel trapped. I know I will have fun though. I think I won't go out w/ my friends but one night b/c I don't think that I would have that much fun, waiting in line, paying cover & standing around sober to drink water. Nope, doesn't sound like much fun to me. But a nice warm bath in our huge jacuzzi tub sounds much better!!!

I really hope I can write on Monday & say I have a new car, but we'll see. We are also finally getting one of our trees in our backyard removed Monday. We have been talking about it for awhile & we finally got everything scheduled. I am ready to have our backyard done & that is one step in the right direction!!!

How I felt Week 15:

Mentally & Physically:

Getting better. Last week (still am) was struggling w/ a yeast infection I believe, so I was a little uncomfortable. I also was nervous because the heart rate on the fetal Doppler dropped to about 150 & my boobs felt smaller after all these weeks, so I was nervous about that too. I finally called the doctor yesterday & she said I was fine & started me on Monistat 3, so hopefully that works b/c I am sick of being so uncomfortable. I am still really broken out on my forehead. That started I think after the miscarriage & hasn't gone away. Hopefully it will disappear after the baby is born.

Okay, I think that is it, I will maybe post in Vegas, but maybe not, so have a good weekend.

Help Needed!!!

So I am looking for a car (SUV) to replace our hot rod Satty and need your help. I have found a Pathfinder that I love but I am having a hard time convincing Jeremy. He is on an American car kick, which I completely understand, however, I first & formost want the car I want, and then I want to support the American cars. And if they go hand & hand, great, but if not, I really want the car I want. (sorry if I offended anyone there, not my intentions, I support our troops & want to keep jobs in America, however, it isn't my #1 priority in this decision process) Anyway, I have listed some cars below that we are looking at. Please comment back with good & bad things about the cars. I really want to make an informed decision when purchasing our car. Just an FYI, we are looking for a used car (2004-2007), below $15,000.

Nissan Pathfinder

Ford Escape

Jeep Commander

Jeep Grand Cherokee

Toyota 4Runner

Mitsubishi Montero Sport

Trailblazer

This weekend was good, I have decided that I eat way to much at meals & am miserable afterwards. I really need to stop doing that!!!

Have a good day & thanks for your help!

Feeling much better

My doctor appt. went well yesterday like I said. I remembered yesterday we forgot to take pics on Monday for 14 weeks, so we took them yesterday. I have attached them. I looked at all the weeks starting at 6 weeks & it doesn't look like much growth, but in person, you can definitely tell a baby bump is growing!!!

No luck in finding a car yesterday, we have to keep looking.

My IT guy fixed my wireless Internet so now Jeremy & I after months of waiting can watch TV & be on the computer. He is so excited, I think I am going to ask for a back rub for this one.

My back has been killing me the last couple days, I am miserable. Jeremy rubbed my back last night, but I don't think anything would make this feel better except for a 24/7 massage!!!

How I felt in Week 13:

Mentally:

Better, each week I have begun to relax. We received our fetal Doppler in the mail during this week & so that helped that I can listen to the heart rate at any time. I actually didn't even freak out the days before my doctor's appointment which was a first. I am starting to really enjoy this.

Physically:

Good. Tired a bit, but not too bad. Boobs still sore, but not that bad. Worst is waking up in the middle of the night or in the morning. I have been wearing a bra or sports bra to bed every night for the past 2 weeks or so, b/c my sisters & mom told me to. Hope that sounds normal. I wasn't large chested before I got pregnant so I don't think I would sag too much, but I would rather not sag at all after this process.

Well I have to stay late at work tonight, but I will hopefully get to take off on Friday so its worth it!

Have a great night!

All is well on the HOST front

So I had my doctor's appointment today & all went well. He used the doppler & heard the baby's heartrate. He used it right where we were & so that made me feel better. I go in in another 4 weeks & then 3 weeks after that I will find out the sex. I can't wait, I am so pumped.

Today has been pretty good, I have got a lot accomplished. I went home sick yesterday b/c I was so darn tired after our night w/ the tree on the car. I ended up not even going to the concert. I just needed sleep. I can feel a head cold coming on too, my throat has been sore the last couple days & I just feel kind of crappy.

Anyway, not much else to say here.

Have a good night! We are going car shopping.

The Doppler Works, i think

So I got my Fetal Doppler on Friday, I was so excited and hoping to secretly try it out before Jeremy got home. Well things didn't really work out that way so late that night, he noticed it & I told him that I thought I wanted to try it alone first. His feelings were extremely hurt b/c he thought I was getting ready to have this big moment w/ our baby & didn't want him included. I felt awful b/c that was not at all what I was trying to do; I was so nervous about it and that I might now hear a heartbeat the first time & thought it would be easier for me to try it out & become a pro before I did it w/ him around. So anyway, I apologized and we decided to do it together. He was such a pro, I wasn't ever able to get it perfect to hear the heartrate, but I swear he had the magic touch. It was a staticy which I wasn't expecting at all, but I THINK we heard our baby's heartrate, 160. We tried again yesterday and got the same results. Jeremy was so excited about it, I was so glad that we did it together. I hope tomorrow when I go to the doctor I can learn a bit from him & hopefully the heartrate is about the same so I will know we were listening to the right thing. BTW, Jen, Jeremy loved your post where you were explaining how to use the doppler to me (which that helped a ton, so thanks). He thought that when you said, "and that's how I know my baby was alive 30 minutes ago" sounded like something I would totally say.

This weekend our Satty (saturn) got even closer to it's death. It's been trying to die for about 4 years now, but it is finally in it's last hours I believe. We drove my parent's Jeep home last night (they're 3rd car) to use until we find a new car. Last night at about 3am, I heard a really loud noise outside so I woke up Jeremy. He looked at the window & said "holy shit!" So I asked what, and he went on to tell me that he believed a TREE had fallen on my parents car. We went outside & sure enough, a rather large branch from our neighbor's house fell on their jeep. We stayed up until 4am so Jeremy could saw away all the branches & lift them off the jeep. We got so lucky, I don't think it affected the jeep at all except for maybe a scratch, that my mom said that she isn't worried about. Thank you god!!! I swear we have the worst car problems, our other car has VERY bad electrical issues. Currently the blinkers, hazards, CD player & horn don't work. I think we might try to trade in both cars & start over, but it has been nice w/ no car payments ever.

Anyways, I just wanted to check in, I attached a pic of the jeep. I am going to James Taylor tonight, so that should be fun, hopefully the rain goes away before then!!!

Have a great day!

Productive Day

So I got a lot done at my work today & I am feeling very good about that. I swear I am about 2 years behind doing 3 people's jobs & there is no way I will ever catch, but it feels good when I feel some sort of accomplishment.

I was kind of annoyed yesterday, one of my superiors made a male chauvinistic remark towards me TWICE. I was very offended and annoyed, but being the little peon that I am I did nothing. We were cleaning out a shed, and 2 guys were helping me. Well it was very hot here yesterday and after a while I sat down for a minute to rest. At that point my superior walked out and said, "You can tell a woman is running this show, she's sitting while the men are working." Mind you, one of the other 2 guys is sitting too, and the other is smoking. The guy sitting tries to stick up for me by saying, "I am taking a break too." At which time the superior replies, "That is b/c you are a democrat & you let everyone else do your work." I don't even care about politics but thought it was a stupid dig at the guy that was helping me out. Later on in the day about a half hour after we'd finished the 3+ hours outside working VERY hard, I was in my office inhaling the lunch I had bought, and the superior comes in and asks how everything went. I tell him I am tired but we are done, at which he replies w/ something similar to "why are you tired, you had been sitting." I couldn't believe how rude his comments were. He was probably trying to joke w/ me, but seriously, you are one of the top dogs at this place & you are going to make sexist comments at one of your hardest workers (civilian of the year, to be exact)!!! I was annoyed the rest of the day & I don't forget things easily so I have a feeling I will be annoyed for quite some time. Oh well, just sucks though.

Tonight I have to run & buy a whole bunch of gift cards to various places for my dad's cousins. They live in Parkersburg, IA where the F5 tornado hit 2 weekends ago & lost everything. My sisters & parents & I & Jerm's parents are sending $550 worth of gift cards to them. I hope it helps. I can't imagine going through something like that.

Anyways, I better get back to work, b/c I still have a lot to do before I can leave and it is already 5pm. Yikes.

Have a good night.

Pics

So I just wanted to add a couple pics. I added a couple of what I looked like at 12 weeks. I also added a couple from this weekend.

Also I think I forgot to do "How I felt at 11 weeks" so I didn't want to miss 12 weeks, so here it goes.

How I felt during Week 12:

Mentally:

Okay, I still think about everything that could go wrong daily, but it doesn't consume as much time as it used to. I am trying to enjoy these days and set the worry aside, b/c I know there is nothing I can do about it.

Physically:

Pretty good. I felt my tiredness subside a teeny bit on most days, so that is nice. My boobs don't hurt as bad, but they are still pretty painful.

I haven't felt uneasy in probably a month, minus 1 or 2 times. I feel like I got really lucky. I can really tell my stomach is sticking out more at times. I do find that in the mornings I think it shrinks a bit, which scares me, but during the day it expands, and I have noticed this quite a few days, so I hope that is normal.

All and all, I feel pretty good.

Have a good day.

Stupid Boys

So I am back to work after a very nice, but extremely busy 3 day weekend & am ready for another day of vacation already.

Friday I spent the day cleaning and preparing for my trip to STL for my friend's lingerie shower. I also went & saw Sex and the City Friday night at the drive-in w/ an old friend of mine. It was a lot of fun, great movie & was nice to see her. I hadn't even watched the show, probably have never seen one full episode, but really enjoyed it. I thought it was funny I was reading Infertility Just Sucks' about her thoughts on the movie. She was saying that she was so disappointed w/ how Charlotte got pregnant. (sorry if you haven't seen the movie, this doesn't really give away anything) Charlotte physician told her the reasoning that she was able to get pregnant was b/c after she adopted she relaxed and bam it happened.
Infertility Just Sucks said: "For a set of writers and actors who have always (I thought) been very honest about real life for a woman and the situations she might find herself in, this seemed totally ludicrous. I know they need to advance the storyline quickly but honestly? Could a fictional round of IVF have killed them? Charlotte still would have gotten what she wanted - it didn't have to be so magical for us to be happy for her."
So anyway I agree w/ her. I hate when people tell me that I got pregnant b/c I relaxed. I feel like it is an insult and they are telling me I am stupid and that everything I went through meant nothing. I feel like my mom, Jeremy's mom and other older moms are quick to make comments like that & it hurts and is EXTREMELY annoying. Anyways, I also wish the movie would have come up with something a little better.

Well anyways Saturday I woke up to find Lucy had got into rotten grapes that were in the trash. I don't know if any of you have read the forward about grapes yet, but I did about 2 weeks ago and was kind of freaking out. I was hoping the forward was false & that she would be fine, but called the vet just in case. The vet said that grapes are bad for dogs & do case renal failure so I was worried again. She said I could leave her at the hospital for the weekend (I was getting reading to go to STL) so they could put her on fluids or I could bring her there and they would give her charcoal (what they give humans that try to commit suicide by consuming pills) to have her puke everything up. She also said that if it was w/in the last 30 minutes I could give her hydrogen peroxide and she should throw up, but if it had been longer than that the grapes were already absorbed. I figured it was worth a shot so I raced to the grocery store, bought hydrogen peroxide & fed her a teaspoon. W/in 2 minutes she was puking up grapes. She puked about 4 times & about 10-15 grapes, so I was so glad I did that. W/in 5 minutes of her last puke she was completely back to normal and was fine the rest of the day. So we got lucky & I don't think I will be buying grapes anymore!!!

Saturday went well in STL w/ my friends lingerie shower. I think everyone had a good time. I realized it is not as fun being sober at a nightclub when everyone else is wasted, but whatever, it is worth it. Sunday I got to drive home and that sucked, but I am so glad to be home.

So for the subject of the post, Vegas & boys. Jeremy had a blast in Vegas but managed to blow at least $1000 not including his flight. Seriously, I am so annoyed by that. I mean lets think about everything we have going on in our lives & maybe get our priorities straight. I knew he would probably spend $700, and that even freaked me out. Some of it is not entirely his fault, the guys he was with, well some of them think they are pretty cool and are always trying to outdo eachother and look so wealthy, I guess. Anyway, they got table service one night & the total was $3600!!! Yep, how fucking crazy is that. So, yes Jeremy totally enjoyed it while it was going on & there wasn't much he could do about it after they already got it, but still I wish they would think before they act. Now we have to pay part of that & I think they only got 2 bottles of alcohol for that amount. Also one of the guys they were with I think blew between $10,000 -$20,000 gambling and so wanted to charge everyone more for the room even though he probably got it all comped & Jeremy didn't even stay as long as everyone else. I know it sounds like I am whining, and I kind of am, I just HATE when money is spent on stupid shit, and this was totally that.

So anyway, to make our problems worse, but me feel a little better, I rewarded myself w/ a fetal doppler today. I ordered it off amazon.com and am hoping to receive it this week sometime. Can't wait, I hope it works. I really hope more than that the baby is doing good in there. I get worried part of each day that something is wrong, but I don't know it yet. Please dear god let this baby be healthy & happy in my belly!!!

Alright, well I am leaving work now. I think I am going to grill chicken tonight for chicken sandwiches topped w/ pineapple, cheese & bbq sauce. YUM!

Have a good night!
Beth

I will try to attach a pic from this weekend this week sometime, I curled my hair, it looked decent, but I miss my long hair!!!
