A much better week!

This week is already starting off so much better than last week was. I didn't know it would be this hard, but I truly wouldn't change it for the world. Jeremy's mom is here with me this week and I am so thankful. She is the kind of person that does everything for you, so I know that I will have so much help this week which will be so nice. I didn't think I would want her to spend the night w/ us, but now that the time is here, I am so glad I have asked her to do so. Even if I don't need her in the middle of the night, I do feel better that she is here. I think she is enjoying the time also. This is their first grandchild and she is loving that. Jeremy's parents were born to be grandparents. They have been grandparent-like to my other nieces and nephews (our families get along very well and spend a more than average amount of time together) for years now and we have always said that they would be incredible grandparents and they are just that. Anyways I love her and his dad very much and am so grateful to have them in my lives!!!

I attached a pic of Connelly. We had a little photo op w/ her this past Sunday. This is one of my favorite pictures of her. Hope you enjoy it!

I promise I will be more blog active someday soon. Thanks for sticking w/ me and keeping me company through my journey.

Connelly

Well I apologize for my absence; it has been a long and hard, but for the most part good week. Wow, motherhood is hard, but I love my daughter and can't believe that she is finally here. I don't have time to tell her birth story yet, but hopefully within the next week I will. I will just say she got here safely, at a faster rate than we had expected and with such a better labor & delivery that a could have ever hoped for. No one could believe that she came out of me b/c she was so huge, it was funny seeing the doctor's mouth drop when he pulled her out. No wonder I had such bad ECP (EVIL CROTCH PAIN)!!! Anyway, this week as far as being a mom goes has been incredible. I love holding her and and watching her and I can't believe how much Jeremy & I love her. Breastfeeding has been a nightmare, however, I REALLY want to do it, and so I am keeping with it until I get it down! I have spoken w/ many specialists to get help and luckily I have such a large support system between our moms and all my sisters. Yesterday was probably my lowest point and I cried most the day, but by last night, things were looking up and today I am almost completely heeled (my nipples) and breastfeeding hasn't been as painful today and so which each time it goes well I build so much confidence and my spirits are raised. I am really sorry I haven't posted, but like I said I just haven't felt like doing much and so I am hoping next week I am feeling much better and am able to get more done. I appreciated all of your well wishes, we feel so blessed with our miracle girl and can't wait to celebrate our first Christmas as a family!

I hope you enjoy the pics; a ton more to come along w/ the whole birth story!

Connelly Maret is here!

This is Beth's friend, Carrie, here to give you a quick update.

Connelly Maret was born yesterday at 3:37 pm. She weighed a whopping 9 lbs, 4 oz! And was 21 inches long! Here she is, just minutes after her birth...

Connelly and Beth are both doing very well. I was up there this morning and saw first hand just how adorable Connelly is! She has the cutest cheeks!

Beth is being discharged tomorrow so she will probably post the details and some pictures in the next few days.

Congrats to Jeremy and Beth on the birth of their beautiful daughter!

How Far We've Come

I attached pics of me at 6 weeks and than those of me at 40 weeks. What a difference. We are almost ready. I got newborn diapers last night and we bought our camcorder. Jeremy had fun playing w/ it all night taping Lucy. He wanted to tape me in the bath tub which I put a stop to very fast. He was like we won't show anyone, and I still said "um, hell no, get a good look now, b/c there is nothing about this look that I want taped!!!" It was nice to take a bath though, I read up a little in the "What to Expect when Expecting." I haven't read all the book, I just read some of the parts that seem helpful to me as I get to that stage. I am starting to get nervous. I mean holy cow we are getting induced in less than 24 hours. I just pray that everything goes okay, and baby & me make it out safe & healthy. Lately I have been having a hard time w/ superstitions again. I have found myself wanting to say, we'll have a baby on Friday, but saying hopefully. I hate myself for thinking that way, but again I am having a hard time thinking that I might jinx myself. I know it is silly and I wish I didn't think that way, but this whole thing still seems so surreal. Again, I pray that tomorrow goes smoothly and Jeremy & I are blessed with a healthy little girl at the end of the day!!!

I decided to treat myself to a prenatal massage today, so that will be happening in the next couple hours. I haven't had a massage in over 2 years, so I am really looking forward to it. I also am going to go to the fire station to ask them to install my car seat (which I love and am so glad I switched!!!) Jeremy has been so sweet these past couple days. It is neat to see how he is trying to bond w/ the baby since his experience is different than mine since I am carrying the baby. He talks to her and holds me & her and he is just so excited. I can't wait for it to be the 3 of us in the hospital room, it is going to be amazing! I am also really excited to give him his gift. I don't want to say what it is now, just in case he reads this but I will share afterwards.

Okay, well wish me luck, I will post as soon as possible tomorrow or I'll have Jeremy or Carrie do it for me. And no Dr.Dom you can not videotape at my feet, and neither can Jeremy. We will be videotaping only from above, I do not need footage of my crotch for me or anyone else to see.

Have a great night, I am going to try and get some sleep tonight, b/c tomorrow is our big day!

We set a date

A date has been set. We are getting induced this Friday morning. We are so excited. I went in today to get checked again and to have a sonogram. Everything looked great w/ the baby. She kept sucking her fist and fingers. It was nice to see her again and to see that she is doing okay. The doctor said I was still only 1-2 cm dilated. He stripped my membranes w/ didn't feel great. I was glad to have Jeremy there w/ me today for everything. He rubbed my legs during the sonogram and it just was nice to have him there to experience everything w/ me. When the doctor said that he would induce and gave us the option of Friday or Tuesday we went for Friday b/c Jeremy had kept saying that was the day he wanted beforehand and I had said I wanted the first date they would do it, so we both got what we wanted. The doctor said he could wait up until next Friday, but we decided we were ready and he reassured us that the baby is fine to come whenever. Like I said before, we are so excited. I am now getting a bit scared. I hadn't really wanted to be induced b/c I didn't want the Pitocin contractions, so now I am fearful of them, but I'll live and it will be worth it when we are holding our little girl.

I ended up deciding to exchange my carseat & stroller. Thank god I am obsessive about keeping boxes b/c we were able to get a full refund and I was able to get the one I wanted at BRU. We ended up saving money b/c it was cheaper and I feel so relieved. I swear each time I walked by the other one I disliked it more, so I am glad I was able to return the other one and I know I have the one I want now.

We took some pics yesterday but I haven't downloaded them yet, but when I do, I will post them. Thanks for hanging in there, we will be delighted to show off our little girl in just a few days!

Have a great night. I am not feeling 100% and the weather here was TERRIBLE today so I have spent quite a bit of time in the car driving, so I am really tired. I think I might take a bath tonight. I got the baby's bag packed last night, Jeremy's gift wrapped and my bag almost packed. I am waiting on one more load of laundry. I need to get a pack of newborn diapers and our breastpump and I would like to get one of the J.J. Cole carseat covers this week, so I hope I can get it done tomorrow or Thursday.

Updating FINALLY!

38 weeks

36 weeks, 4 days

I have been so busy, I apologize for not posting. So much for not working, not only have I worked the past 2 days, I have accumulated overtime. I am so tired and ready for this week to be over. I know once my awards ceremony is over on Saturday I will be able to relax, and I can't wait for that to get here!!!

I went to the doctor yesterday and didn't have that great of a visit. It really wasn't a big deal, but I think I am just getting tired now and so that is what made it not good. He said I am dilated 1 cm, so mainly no activity at all. Yesterday's check was pretty painful, just like the first one. (Last week's wasn't too bad, but last week I wasn't dilated or effaced) I feel silly b/c it hurts and I wonder if the doctor is thinking if this hurts her than how the hell is she going to take having a baby. I also gained 4 lbs in one week so I felt big, I know it isn't that big of a deal, but I was already feeling down and for some reason it made me feel worse. He said we would schedule an induction date at my next appointment (next Tuesday). He also ordered some test next Tuesday, which was some fancy word for a sonogram where they do measurements and check on the baby. I am just glad to be able to see her again next week if she hasn't come already (which I don't think she will). I told Jeremy that I really wanted him there to be w/ me. I am just tired now and want him to be there for me to lean on a bit, so luckily he was able to get off work and will be able to go.

He has been great lately. He was sick for a couple days, so that was hard w/ us both not wanting to do anything, but is feeling better now. We went to Babies R Us on Saturday and got quite a bit that I think we'll need before the babe gets here. We got the new swing. Jeremy hasn't put it together yet b/c he didn't feel good and then had to do work last night, so hopefully tonight. We want to see if the swing is noisy so like some of the reviews have mentioned, all the displays I checked were really noisy, but I still wanted to get it home myself and try it out. If we aren't happy, there was one more that we liked that I will exchange it for, the other one was more expensive and I liked this one better, so hopefully we will be pleased with what we have, we'll see.

I have been going back & forth now wondering if I chose the right color pattern for my car seat & stroller. I know that that is so dumb, but as a very indecisive person, I have been struggling w/ my decision. I can't even return mine now b/c it has been over 2 months, so I don't know why I am stressing about it, but I am. I also realized that the one we chose holds up to a 30lb baby while the other one holds up to a 22lb baby, so that is good. But do 22lb baby's still fit into carseats like these anyway???

I do pretty good during the day, but night times are the worst. I get so stiff. It isn't usually falling asleep that is the problem, it is when I wake up to pee, that I am stiff and it is painful to move. I feel like such a complainer so I apologize, once again I am just tired. For some reason for the past 2 months my right wrist hurts so bad when I wake up. I don't know what the hell I am doing w/ it in the middle of the night, but somehow I am aggravating it, b/c it is not happy w/ me each morning!!!

Okay, well, I guess I'll stop whining now. I am sorry I haven't been around, I haven't had time even to read blogs. I posted some pics from 36 1/2 weeks & 38 weeks and then one of Lucy in the jumperoo. Enjoy!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, we did!

IN NEED OF A BRU COUPON

Okay I am calling out to anyone for help. I REALLY need a PRINTABLE coupon to Babies R Us for either 15% off one item or one that is 20% a Fisher Price Swing. The swing I have chosen is a bit pricey so I really need a coupon. Of course last night I had a few, but the store was out of them so I just figured no big deal, yesterday BRU had free shipping on anything over $100 which it is PLUS I had coupon codes that I could type in online and use. Well no luck b/c my swing is out of stock online too. Anyway, one store here has it and I really want to go get it before they all go away but I used my coupons from last night on other things b/c I thought I could. So now I need one of those coupons or I am going to have to wait until 11/30 when the next coupons I have start and just hope that the swing is in stock still at the one store. Oh, and to piss me off a little more, BRU stopped doing the free shipping as of this morning so even if it does come back in stock online, I don't want to purchase it that way now b/c I'll have to pay for stupid shipping!!!

Please help. Even if I can give you a fax number and somebody could fax me one of those coupons (that hasn't expired yet) I would REALLY appreciate it.

Thanks a bunch!
Beth

Holy Leg Cramps

OMG! So I never really got leg cramps before becoming pregnant. Like maybe once or twice in my whole life. So the fact that I wake up to extremely painful charlie horses (is that what people call them?) about once every 3 weeks really is no fun. Last night was the mother of all leg cramps. It only happens in the middle of the night and I guess when I go to move my legs. Anyway, all of the sudden I wake up in excruciating pain in my left calf, I am screaming and then sobbing b/c I am in so much pain. It feels like it lasts for hours, which I am sure was really only about 20 seconds, but it was by far the longest and most painful one I have experienced to date. Jeremy wakes up b/c I am screaming and is trying to help me by rubbing leg and trying to flex it for my, however, I can't tell him what is working, well b/c nothing really was and b/c I had continued to scream and cry. Finally it started to wear off, yet I am still very shaken and sobbing. He at that time is a little frustrated b/c I never was really able to speak clearly to him and the fact that he was woken up so suddenly, so he sighs in annoyance and rolls over. I can't really blame him b/c he was probably still a little asleep, but all I wanted was for him to snuggle and hold me and make me feel better. So now I start sobbing again b/c I am sad he isn't doing what I want him to do, so then he feels bad and rolls back over to try and calm me down. I go to the bathroom then and try to compose myself, but when I get back to bed, I explain to him that he hurt my feelings b/c he didn't know that he should have held me rather than act annoyed when I am in such pain. I start sobbing again to which this time he immediately tries to calm me down. God, am I a baby or what. I swear I have been having emotion breakdowns more often lately. I barely slept the rest of the night b/c I was so worked up and my calf was still sore. All morning I just wanted to crawl back in bed and cry b/c I had woken up on the wrong side of the bed. I am over it now and am in a much better mood, however, I do have to work late tonight so that sucks.

Last night I started putting away some of the baby items, so that was fun. I am going to go to Babies R Us tomorrow night and exchange my swing. I decided I liked another one better, and my BFF Carrie is the best and said it was okay if I exchanged it (she and my other girlfriends are the ones that purchased it). I felt awful when I fell in love w/ a different one, but I can't help it so I am glad I have great friends that understand!!! Anyway, I think I will also use some coupons to get some smaller things off our registry that we need that we hadn't got in our showers, like bottles and such. I am excited. Has anyone noticed that Babies R Us isn't really giving out 20% coupons right now, only 15%. That really sucks, I like the 20% ones better, obviously.

Okay, so I guess I'll let you go now. Eventually I'll post pics of me at 36 weeks and of the wedding last weekend. It was nice, but I am glad wedding season is over for me until July I think.

Have a good night.

Registered and Ready to Go

So my doctor's appointment wasn't nearly as bad as I had made it out to be in my head. I do think it b/c I told him ahead of time how nervous I was b/c it was so painful last week. It didn't hurt nearly as bad, it was just like a bad pap smear, so very doable. I don't think I will be apprehensive about next week at all now. He said the baby's head has dropped a bit more, but still not dilation or anything. So looks like I have another 3 weeks to go. He thinks she'll be about 7 1/2 lbs when she's born.

I registered at the hospital after that and the nurse that helped me was awesome, she was so nice and made me feel SO comfortable.

So anyways, I feel much better now and alot more relaxed. Thanks for your comments before, as of now, I think I am okay w/ him checking me as long as it doesn't feel like last week again (even though I do understand birth will be worse).

Also, sidenote, Martha, I appreciate the award and meme, I promise I'll complete it, but it may take me a couple days. Thanks for thinking of me!!!

Beth

Back to the Doc's Office

I have my weekly appointment again today and I am not looking forward to it. I never thought I'd say that b/c for the past 37 weeks I longed for these days. I am really nervous and don't really want to be fisted again, even though I know it is in my best interest.

I am just tired and ready for the appointment to be over. I am prepared this week and brought pads to wear after the appointment for any bleeding there might be.

I will let you know how it goes.

9 more days of work!!!

I am pretty excited, except for I still need to let my immediate boss know, but to tell you the truth, but then I believe his successor will have started the transitioning stages to take over so I don't really know who I need to tell.

I had the worst night's sleep last night. I had as, Nancy calls it, (and I LOVE the name btw and so I will now use it) ECP - EVIL CROTCH PAIN!!! Last night it was probably the worst it has been in the middle of the night at least. I could barely move my left leg w/o wincing. Then I also kept having bad dreams so I was scared. Than I even dreamed that there were 2 lionesses in my backyard and in my house trying to get little Lucy and I was trying to save her. I think I might have dreamt that b/c Jeremy's family went to Lion King last night. Lucy must have been having bad dreams too, b/c usually she sleeps really soundly, but she kept wanting us to snuggle w/ her and kept curling up by our faces. We hung out since I couldn't sleep. I swear I was up every hour and a half or so. It really sucked.

I took a bath last night for the first time in years. It was amazing, I don't know why I haven't done it more often, you better believe I will be treating myself to one of those a week for the next couple weeks though.

This last time I went to the bathroom I was leaking more than yesterday. Tuesday after my check like I said I was bleeding heavily but it was brown and nurse said it was normal. She also said that it would stop. It isn't heavy AT ALL and hasn't been but I still have been leaking some brown stuff. Anyway just this last time though and was still light brown but mucousy too. I didn't think that anything (labor) was going on b/c I just didn't but called to make sure. She thought that it sounded normal and not to worry. She said that if it was my water breaking that it would not be mucousy and that it would be just like water, so I am going to take her word for it and not worry. And I really just don't feel like this babe is ready to come out for a while, so we'll see.

Tonight I am going to Michael's to finish up on my gifts for all the girls that have thrown all my showers. I found some cute figurines the other night but I wanted to do a little something more, so I can hopefully can find something at Michael's to make (I know what I am doing but don't want to give out all the info b/c my BFF Carrie reads my blog and she will be receiving a gift and don't want her to know what she is getting). I will talk more about this after I give the gifts out this weekend. Except I kind of stuck my foot in my mouth earlier today. I was talking w/ a girl at my work about the gifts and how I have been stressing trying to find something for all the girls that threw my showers and I told her what I was doing. Then I realized that she was one of the ones that organized my surprise work shower and all I did for those girls was give them a thank you note. Now I don't know what to do? Do I get all my work girls that threw that shower the same thing or do I leave it alone? What do I do?

Hopefully Jeremy will get our last pieces of furniture this Saturday and so we can have the room totally set up by the end of the weekend, I am so excited. I ordered this frame w/ this quote on there a few weeks ago. I have been dreaming about this frame for over a year now. I ended up going w/a different company b/c it was half the cost ($100 instead of $200) and it was larger and I liked the girl better. Well it isn't 100% what I imagined. I still REALLY LIKE it, but I am not 100% in love w/ it. So I am still really excited, but also a tad disappointed. When I get it hung up, I'll take a pic and post it.

Okay, well I think that that is it for posting today. I have tomorrow off to relax b/c I am in a wedding this weekend, talk about disaster but hopefully all goes well.

Have a great weekend!

Halloween Pics

100th POST!!!

I can't believe it took me this long to make it to this point. I am doing pretty good. Last week was long, this week hasn't been too bad.

This past weekend was Jeremy's family shower. It was great, I loved seeing everyone. Jeremy has been spending all his nights putting together all the cute baby stuff we have received.

This past few weeks have been so great for Jeremy & I. I really have felt so close w/ him. We have been having the best time preparing for this little one. Lately we find ourselves hanging out in the baby's room just looking at all her things.

Anyway this past weekend I had some severe crotch pains. I think I was pushing it too hard and definitely paid for it. By the time I got home from the grocery store I was tearing up b/c I was so sore. I got home and starting bawling b/c my crotch muscles hurt so bad. I do NOT remember anyone telling me about this kind of pain. Anyway after I relaxed for a bit and took some Tylenol I began to feel better but I have a feeling that I am just going to have to deal w/ it for the next few weeks.

I went to the doctor today to get checked. He said the baby's head is pretty low but I am not dilated. Him checking me felt the opposite of good. OUCH!!! I didn't know what it would feel like but I didn't realize he was going to stick his whole fist inside of me and feel around. After I got back to work I went to the restroom and found that I was bleeding pretty heavily. I was a bit concerned, but had a feeling that it was b/c of him checking me. I called my mom in the bathroom and she thought it was the same thing, but had me call the doctor just in case. The nurse said it was completely normal. It pretty much stopped right after it started. It just when I go to the bathroom now.
I was talking w/ my boss' boss today and he was asking about if my plans are changing in terms of when I will stop working. I hadn't really mentioned it to my boss or him yet that I was starting to think that the day before Thanksgiving would be a good day to stop work rather than right before the due date. This would give me a little under a week and a half off before the baby is born, assuming she comes right around the due date. He (boss' boss) thought that was a pretty good idea, and noticed I had been moving quite a bit slower lately and mentioned he didn't even know if I'd make it that long. If the day before Thanksgiving is my last day than I have 2 weeks left of work as of tomorrow, I think I can make it. It is nice looking forward to that time though. I do hope the baby doesn't come way late, but I also hope she doesn't come too early either. I really want at least a couple days off before she's born to relax and get the house ready. We'll see I guess.

I tried to attach some pics of the last couple weeks. I will post a couple more times so I can add more pics.

Enjoy. Happy 100th Post to me. Thank you all so much for being w/ me throughout these past months. It has been quite a journey for me.

Have a good night.

Long Day

Well today has been quite a long day and I am ready to go home. My back has been killing me today and I just want to lie down. I know that I have to go home & work more though, but at least I'll be home and be able to relax more. I do have to admit I haven't voted yet and I hope the lines aren't too long b/c I can't promise that I will wait. I know that is terrible and I do feel badly about it, however, I haven't made the time to become informed about anything and so I don't even feel like I would make that great of decisions. I just don't know. Right now all I can think about is getting home to rest. I am sorry if I offend anyone b/c of the above statements.

I had my family shower this past Sunday. It was so great, and I enjoyed seeing everyone. It really isn't family besides my mom and sisters, it is actually all my mom's friends, but they are like family to us. My family all lives in Iowa, therefore, doesn't travel for things like showers. I had such a great time though and we got so many things. I will attach some pics as soon as I get them downloaded.

I also have some pics from Halloween that are cute that I wil try & download & post.

I am starting to feel pretty uncomfortabe these days. I hate complaining b/c I am so glad that I am where I am at today & know it is worth it, but can't help but not be 100% happy about all my aches & pains. My crotch muscles continue to be VERY sore. My ankles are pretty swollen at night, some nights more than others. Some nights I have cankles!!! My fingers are always sore now and swollen, it is like I have arthritis in my fingers, so I hope that goes away after the baby is born. I have a hard time even opening our bedroom door at night b/c my fingers are so sore. The baby is moving around alot still which is great, but she is getting so big that sometimes it is pretty painful. It is almost likes cramps but I know it is just her bumping into things. Last night Jeremy was laying on my tummy and singing to her & she kept kicking his head, it was a really neat time for us. I am growing VERY excited, and nervous. I still haven't picked a daycare and haven't even started looking at pediatricians. Her changing station should come in this week so we'll be able to get that in her room and then I will have all her furniture in. Jeremy was putting together the pack n play last night and it doesn't fit properly, so I'll probably have to exhange it (what a pain).

I am just pretty stressed up. We got a lot done again this past weekend though, w/ the help of one of my sister's and Jeremy' parents. We painted the baby's closet, our stairway and the guest bedroom. Now I have to put everything back in order.

Alright, well I better go try to vote.
Have a good night.

Sorry for my absence again

Once again I haven't made time for you guys so I apologize. We finished the tree in the baby's room so I attached that pic. We bought a rug, ceiling fan, sconces & got all those in the room. I put the bedding in the bed. We are really getting the nursery ready, it is so hard to believe. I had an appointment today, everything went well. She said that I gained the most weight in the past 2 weeks, a big 4 pounds. She said it was okay, so I am trusting her. I think I have gained about 25 pounds so far so I guess I will probably will have gained about 35 pounds before this thing is over. She did say at the end you lose a bit so maybe I will gain less than that, we'll see, I am not too worried about it. I know I will be able to lose (or I think) and I just don't worry, I don't really know why.

We did our child birth class. Ours turned out a bit better than Jens, after hearing her experience. We did the all day one. I really liked our lady. You could totally tell she was a doula but never really advertised herself. I would say that we learned 5-10 things that I would have never known, that I am glad I am able to discuss w/ the doc before the birth. It went by pretty fast, I did have Jeremy's smart ass comments in my ear the whole time, but I think he found it useful also. I will say I am glad it is over and don't have to do it again though. We are supposed to go to the newborn class next week, but I think we'll skip it. I will take advice from my mom, MIL & sisters.

I was 34 weeks yesterday so I attached those pics, along w/ ones of the babe's room.

Hope you all had a great weekend, and have a great night!

Productive Weekend

We got SO much done this weekend and I am starting to feel a little less stressed. We were able to get the crib & dresser and put them together & in the baby room. Jeremy was able to get the office desk upstairs w/ some help, but not before they had to saw off an inch of the legs of the desk. I was a little shocked, but it doesn't look that bad and probably isn't noticeable except to those that know it happened. I am just glad we were able to get it upstairs. Jeremy's cousin came over yesterday and painted the tree on the wall. I was able to help her w/ the leaves and flowers. We aren't completely finished, but it looks REALLY good. I love it. We felt so relieved last night w/ all our progress however we were so exhausted and I still am today. I am falling asleep at work and all I want to do is go home and nap. Tonight we have to start major clean-up and putting the rest of the blinds up b/c Jeremy was able to touch up all the window paint yesterday.

I also attached pics of our new backyard. It looks amazing!!!

Hope you had a great weekend, have a good night too.

More pics from STL shower

A 2 Week Update

I guess I have to update on the last two weeks b/c I haven't been around much to keep you all posted.

Last week was good. It was a bit of a slow week, but I was excited for my shower last weekend in STL. Well we went to the lake 2 weekends ago to hang out w/ Jeremy's family. I had taken the 3D/4D u/s pics, cd & dvd to the lake to show Jeremy's parents. Well Sunday as his mom, grandparents and me were about 20 minutes away from the house on our way shopping I remembered I had forgotten all the pics. She said we could go back but I knew it was too much of a hassle that I said no and she told me she would bring them to me when they drove through in a couple days (we were going to meet Jeremy & leaving straight from shopping). I was pretty disappointed b/c I was having dinner w/ my fam that Sunday night & had wanted to show them the pics, but I knew that it didn't make sense so I left things as is. Anyways, I was thinking in the back of my mind that I knew Jeremy's mom would take some of the duplicates the lady printed and the control freak in me had wanted to show her which one she could take and know which ones she took. So they dropped the pics off last Tuesday and on Wednesday morning I noticed them and thought I better see what she took. I had told her at the lake that there were duplicates and I wanted her to have some, but I had everything separated out and like I said, I wanted to know what she took. So when I opened the envelope and it wasn't in the order (OCD, I know) I had put them in, I knew she had at least looked through them again. So I went to separate out the sepia photos to find which ones still had duplicates b/c when I left them 3-4 had duplicates, one of which had 2 extras. Anyways the only one left w/ duplicates was the pic that had 2 duplicates of it, she had taken all the others. I could feel the heat rising in me, and I was completely fine when I had woken up, but my hormones starting pumping like crazy and I could feel myself about to burst into tears. I went into the bathroom and opened the shower curtain (Jeremy was in the shower) and asked "did your parents take pictures?" At that point I started sobbing uncontrollably and could barely understand what I was saying. At first I think I thought there was only 1 duplicate left and I had wanted to take one to work for myself (& would have liked to pick out which one I wanted) and then I definitely wanted to give my parents 1-2 pics and didn't think I'd be able to b/c I wanted a copy of every photo for our home to put in an album. Jeremy tried to stay calm and said I could print out extra copies w/ the cd we were given, but I explained that "it won't be the same!" Then he said that he would bring home the couple he took to work, but I explained that "you should have what you want at your work!" He then said he would call his parents and tell them they had to return them all, and I said "no I wanted them to have 1-2 but wanted to be able to kind of give them what I wanted." He said, "You are pregnant and you can have whatever you want." I have to admit I enjoyed him saying that, but didn't want to come off as a brat. I finally started to calm down and realized there were 2 duplicates left (even if it was the same photo), and that I guess that would just have to be the one I took to work and the one I gave to my parents. I finally said to him "I think I may have just overreacted," he agreed. So anyways I composed myself and realized I had had quite the pregnancy meltdown. I begged Jeremy not to mention my meltdown to his parents to which he agreed, but still tried to convince me his mom probably didn't take any, however, I reassured him I KNEW she had. I was still a little annoyed that his mom just took the pics. I mean even though I did tell her there were some in there for her, I just think that it would have been nice of her to ask if I cared which ones she took rather than just helping her self. I am still a bit bitter about it, but what do you do. I won't let that happen again though.

****Addition to the story, last night at dinner w/ his parents his brother was saying that he hadn't seen the pics yet. His mom starting pulling out some computer printed versions of them and I am thinking to myself where are all the ones you took from me. And then what do you know she pulls out the duplicates she took and says, "and these are the ones I took, I mean you left them at my house." She did it in a tone that was like, "he! he! I got to pick the ones I wanted" Jeremy kicked me under the table and then said, "what so you thought you'd help yourself to them," but I don't think she heard him or ignored him if she did. Anyways I know that the story makes me come off a bit of a brat, and I am not trying to be that. I wanted her to have some of the pics, I was just upset by the way it all happened.

Friday, my work surprised me w/ a baby shower. I was so excited. I kind of knew something was going on, but had no idea exactly what. They did such a great job planning it and it was so fun to hang out w/ everyone. They got us our high chair, the umbrella stroller, a cd, and some gift cards and an outfit. I had loads of fun and was so excited & appreciative to have them do that for us. Jeremy even surprised me and showed up for some of it.

We traveled to STL for the weekend for our Couples Shower, my best friends from college threw us. It was so much fun. I will post pics so you can see everything. They made a board for people to guess the birth date & size of the baby and everyone had to put money in her piggy bank that they bought in order to guess. The cake was amazing. You just have to see the pics. The party did go downhill a bit after Mizzou lost to OSU, but what do you do.

This week has been another long one, but thank god it is finally coming to a close. We got new windows this week so this weekend Jeremy is touching up the paint on them all. We are also painting a tree on the baby's wall so I will take pics and attach those next week.

Have a great weekend!

Sorry for my absence

I was such a bad blogger last week and I apologize. Quite a bit happened last week too.

I had quite an emotional pregnancy meltdown over absolutely nothing. I was surprised at work with my first shower. We went to STL b/c my best friends there threw us a Couples Baby Shower. Anywho, I will talk about that in my next post. Just wanted to say hello and that I am still here. I reached 32 weeks yesterday so I attached those pics.

Hope all is well in the blogging land.

Have a great day.
